2000 Kia Sportage - Beyond belief.

Here is one we did over the summer. This car was repossessed by a buy here, pay here lot. When I picked it up, I honestly thought I was to take it to a scrap yard. We were told to do whatever it takes to get it cleaned...and we sure did. :chuckle:

Products used:

Ardex Top Dog Alkaline Based Degreaser non-diluted

Meguiars Wheel Brightner 4:1

Meguiars All Seasons Dressing : tires/wheel wells

Meguiars #66 on the paint

Interior:

Interior detail spray from local distributer

Interior carpet cleaner from local distributer using a Thermax

Glass cleaned with Meguiars Detail Glass Cleaner

Process was abusive, but it was a Kia, and they needed it done. So, we hosed the outside of it with Top Dog, and pressure washed it for about 20 minutes in the wash bay. Pulled it in, finish was smooth enough for the standards of the job and gave it a coat of #66.

Quite the turnaround, great work!

Has anyone ever noticed how every single Kia out on the street is just absolutely trashed out? I swear, no one who buys these actually takes care of them.

That's good work. I've found neglected white cars to have tight red and black spotting. It can be removed with clay, but detail suppliers offer a "fallout remover" that is a wipe on, let dwell, wipe off chemical.

Oh my...

Great (and I mean GREAT) turnaround!

Sheesh, even pictures of loved ones are tossed willy-nilly amongst the dirt and garbage...

Outstanding work! Looks like a completely different interior! :bow

How bad do you have to mis-manage your finances to get an '01 Kia repoed though? :nervous2:

Scott,

Judging by the way that car looks, do you think they're priorities are straight? I know for a fact that whoever had that thing drove it around like that for a while. The evidence is in the before shot on the passenger side. I highly doubt that happened in one week. When I first got in it, I honestly questioned if I should have sat on a plastic seat cover and wore gloves for driving. Detailing it I wore gloves and a mask. We were both kinda shocked how well it turned around. Like I said, it didn't have to look perfect so a 1 step was sufficent after some paticents and know how in the wash bay. If your looking at the inside of this car and cringing, imagine what the inside of their house is like! Not to mention you have to eat in your house.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm hoping to post up some that are worse. Yes they do come in worse. For some reason we're the go-to detail shop for these kinds of jobs. Of course we give an estimate prior. :)
