2000 Honda Odyssey

Okay, technically an interior detail, exterior wash. I'm working on my mom's 2000 Honda Odyssey before I head back to school. Its a 200,000 mile beater with hail damage, so I'm mainly just attacking the interior. Did a basic wash of the outside, and have spent the rest of the time inside. I'm about 80% done with the interior, but its filthy and taking a while. Pictures:

Still have some work to do on this part...I hate those little circles in the center of the console...

I got finished shampooing the carpet, but it got too dark for a good picture. Here is the start of the process. Bottom right is shampooed...(though hopefully you can tell the difference)

Just started detailing, and this site has been an amazing source of information. Any advice or tips on how to take better pictures, or what I've done wrong on the car is welcome! I only want to improve from here. Sorry for posting a half finished car, but I was excited to see the results I had so far, and would love feedback from the pros.

You have the autopian in you, little sensai.

Joking aside, you need a magic eraser or some good APC (all purpose cleaner) for the better results on interiors, whether they be not so bad or the like the van you are working on.

I really think it is all in the tools you use, and how you use them. Just keep crusing around the boards and keep reading, or do a couple of searches.

PM me if you have any questions. Keep working on that interior! It may take a couple of different sessions to get it where you want it.

edit: that radio bezel is an example of where you need some more work, maybe with the magic eraser (not on the clear part) or some APC and a small brush. The part around the volume knob needs more attention.

Thanks! I'll look into that magic eraser. It is frustrating try to clean an interior that has been so neglected. Appreciate the tips!

Looking good so far. An excellent tool for those little dots is a soft bristled brush with some APC. I just did an Odyssey like this a few weeks ago and it worked fine.
