1st time posting pictures (Ferrari detail)

Absolutely stunning! The 360 Modena is one of my favorite styles on the Ferrari. You are one lucky individual to have had the opportunity to detail such a beautiful work of art.

Please do tell us what products that you used. I would love to know how you really brought out the depth and wetness in the paint.

I only took a couple befeore pictures of the car but it was an overcast day so you can't really tell how dirty it was. Here's a before pic of the outside & one of the motor: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/rickrack/FerrariDetail001.jpg , http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/rickrack/FerrariDetail006.jpg .

The car was in decent shape to begin with, but definitely needed a good detail. There were tons of bugs on the 3M protection on the front and was never waxed the entire time the guy has owned it. The car has never been touched with a hose. He only used QD on the car the entire time he owned it so the paint didn't have any real depth to it.

My process: I clayed it with Pinnacle poly clay, one coat of Klasse AIO followed by Meguiars #7 show car glaze and a layer each of Souveran and P21S. It was a very overcast day, so the pictures didn't come out as great as I thought they would. Here's a couple after pictures of the engine compartment. I decided to apply #7 to the painted surfaces in the engine compartment which worked pretty well. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/rickrack/FerrariDetail022.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/rickrack/FerrariDetail024.jpg

Beautiful work on the Modena.

And to think I only found out a few weeks ago that its pronounced "Mah-den-ah", not "Moh-day-nah" :D.

Sort of like how everyone says Porshe differently.

Some people pronounce it "Porsh" and others say "Por-sha"

Great detail - the engine looks especially good. I don't remember seeing the embossed "360" on the silencer in the U.K. although the last one I did was 2003.

:(

Por-sha is the right German pronounciation based on my language classes. :)

That's a beautiful Modena. :xyxthumbs

Love the process as well. P21S and Souveran are my 2 favorite waxes.

Wow! :xyxthumbs Thats one nice ride.

I see is a Drive By Wire(DBW). I thought was still drive with cable. Oh well who cares :bow

You are right ! The stock silencers do not have the "360" embossed into them, the customer put on a custom "tubi" aftermarket exhaust on the car which sounds pretty insane!

Yeah, just the other day I was looking at Leonard-ah Da Vinci's Mah-na Lisa. :D

Silent e is an English thing. The German language doesn't have it. (Far to precise and efficient to be wasting letters, those German. :D ) If it's there, you say it.

PC.

I've always said "moh-DEE-nuh", with the emphasis on the "dee".

if u ever watch those foreign sorta car show type shows on speed channel or whatever it is, they usually say 'mo-den-uh. or mod-en-uh.'
