1st time detailing results ? MIP or #83 ?

I just finished detailing a 94 Jeep (White) with

1) Menzerna IP (PC and orange pad

2) Menzerna FP (PC and blue pad)

3) Meguirs NXT (PC and grey pad)

The results on hood were good but not what I expected. Still lots of small scratches when viewing from certain angles.

Question is should I try some #83 or what advice can you all give ???

Also (concerning my Porsche) , if using Blitz and NXT, which one should go on last ???

Thanks Tom

You might just need something a little more aggressive than the IP. Some paints need a stronger product for the worst of the marring.

The DACP might be a good next step.

When using NXT and a carnauba like Blitz, put the carnauba on *last*.

Same thing happened to me. I also used IP, FPII and NXT. Here pretty soon I'm going to get some SSR2.5 but I like the FPII/NXT/#16 combo.

We've been discussing IP and FP quite a bit lately and quite a few people have been saying that IP/FP works best if used by a rotary.

I'd say try the #83 and see where you are. You may or may not need to follow that up with something less aggressive though. Make a pass with a cutting pad and then make another pass with a polishing pad, you might be able to get away with having to buy another product this way.
