Hi all, I'm from Kansas City, formerly teenage Detail Service operator looking to finish what I started 15 years ago. Been detailing since early 90's but still learning :) I'm currently planning a detailing/powdercoating/aluminum polishing/plating business locally from a fixed location. I hope to gain advice from those who have started their own similar businesses to avoid the common pitfalls. Hope to add my own brand of humor and enlightenment. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Welcome to DC. The shine is fine!

I will look forward to your posts in the future. Most particularly the powder coating. Have been thinking about powder coating the wheels on my wife's 300C for Christmas. Do not even know if that is possible but have been thinking about it none the less.

Good luck on the shop: powder coating should be a great addition, especially if you pick up some commercial business. Many years ago, I had a polishing and chrome plating business in S. Carolina for custom bike parts...did pretty good until we could not meet EPA reg's.
