Hey guys, just finished detailing my dad's 1998 528i. Car was repainted in December of 2005 after a freak non-collision accident involving broken glass on the highway that turned the front of the car into Swiss cheese. In light of this, the car has butter-soft clearcoat. Wheels/tires were not touched as they are for another day. Here were the steps:
(All polishes applied with PC 7424)
1. Wash with Meguiars NXT
2. Clay with Mother's clay bar
3. 3M Finesse-It II on white polishing pad (areas that needed it)
4. Menzerna FPII on white polishing pad
5. Klasse AIO on white polishing pad
6. Klasse SG (2 coats so far)
7. Another coat of SG, topped with S100 (in a few days)
