Anybody using 12 volt marine wash down pumps to hose down and rinse off cars? If so, pros and cons and what type. Might be one of the answers to space, weight. The ones I've located weigh around 5lbs and pump 2 - 5 gpm at the pump itself at city water pressure (45lbs) and can draw water from up to 10 feet. The size is 5 in by 10 in. Considering the pumps are made to pump corrosive saltwater they should last a long time. Price for most $150.00 - $350.00 depending om gpm and if it is a commercial duty pump or not.

A friend of mine had a '96 DRM LT4 Vette back in the day, dynoed at 475 horse, which was a TON in '96.

Thanks folks for the nice comments, ya this one dynoed around 480rwhp also, which is still pretty good numbers today for NA,the kicker is the rest of the vehicle is done also, coilover complete suspension scaled and weighed, cooling , oil coolers, power steering pump, exhaust, all professionally done at DRM. I finally got smart and purchased this one allready complete with the mods, this way I wont loose if it ever sells. Definetly my best vette purchase to date, even blows away the 92 Lingenfelter I had 6 yrs ago and that one had 20K original miles.
