This is my dads car, I did a complete exterior detail on it today since I have been driving it and it already looked all around nasty. The before shots don't do it justice. It took me around 3 hours or so to do. Came out nice.

I started with QEW and soon realized it was way to dirty for that so i broke out the hose and promptly took a strong solution of nxt car wash to it. There wasn't much in the way of wax so i wasn't really worried about stripping it.

(I took the befores after it was washed because there was no sun or real light when i started. Oh, and sorry for the crappy pics, I'm forced to use an old camera...)

SSR 2.5

Wax:

NXT X2 ( Made sure the second coat was really light as to not make it useless.)

Tommrow it gets either Pink Wax or S100, haven't decided yet

Try S100 or Natty's or a Pinnacle product. They all work well with gold Toyota paint.

Edit: I checked the gloss tonight and it seems to have cured quite nicely. I'm hoping the weather will cooperate tommrow so i can throw on a coat of s100 or two.

Take this as constructive criticism as I was there before...



For your camera shots, take your pics at high resolution, then resize for the net. This allows the pics too have more vibrant colors and sharper lines. Set the pic resolution at Fine/Sharp, not normal. Dial the ISO setting to as low as it can go. This also insures sharp looking pictures. When in doubt, use a flash! The pics look a touch dark. Hope this helps out.

thanx sean, ill take that advice, the camera i was using isnt as good as the camera i usually use, its in fl with my family. Ill try to take some better shots of my cam and the avalon in the next few days with some better resolution and lighting and such. Thanx for the advice.
