1995 220,000 mile Acura Legend... straight from the showroom

My Canterbury green Acura Legend may have 220,000 miles and be 16 years old (bought in 1994), but it has aged well. Unfortunately, the sun ruined some of my pictures.

You know when they say: "they dont make cars like that anymore", they mean it...How many VOC's do you think that paint had in it but look how great it has held up versus the water based crap they shoot today. Paint looks awesome

Yeah, at what cost to the environment and human health ? Trust me, I'm far from a "greenie", but I can't complain about making the materials we use safer.

Sorry, No T/H debates here, I was mainly pointing out how good those paint jobs held up. I own cars a few years old with h20 paint and you sneeze on them hard and the paint chips off. Wanna protest something, come on down to the gulf coast to the greatest environmental catastrophe in the history of our country. :(

Yeah, it held up very well. The clear is starting to go on the roof, but it's such a small area that it won't even register on my camera. If you look at another one of my threads, this car had severe oxidation on trunk, roof, and hood and some swirls. But I got tired of it so my Makita took that right off :).

Very true, the finishes do hold up quite nicely. Every so often I see single-stage paint that's over 30 years old that looks better than brand new vehicles on the dealer lot (especially when it comes to orange peel). As for the gulf coast, don't even get me started on why one of the biggest oil companies that exists doesn't have the ability to cap a spill.
