Hey everyone. Customer wanted this car back in mint condition. Being 18 years old, it was in decent shape. There were spots of clear coat failure.

Wunderbar! But then, I am partial towards der Ältere Panzerwagen ;) If you were not so far away, I'd give you a shot at the swirly white that covers my 560SL. :faint:
 
I have the same car, only in white. You did a fabulous job. These old benzes are really something else. Durable and though is quite an understatement. I'm getting ready to do some corrective work on mine here soon. How hard was the clear coat?
 
I've owned a few of these big bodied w126, and you did a GREAT job on that beauty !!! That paint is black pearl, and IMO the best paint Mercedes Benz ever put on a car. those wheels are a real pain to clean. They are clearcoated and I usually buff them up to a mirror shine when there in good shape.
