1990 Ford truck, is this paint gone?

I wanted to ask your opinions about my buddies red 1990 F-150 truck. Do you think I could get some gloss out of this paint? Do you think the clear coat is shot? I do have access to a rotary...

meguiars cleaner/wax you will be shocked........but it will only last for a couple of days

first thought is that it doesnt have a clearcoat to start with. more likely to be a singlestage. i dont know if it's restorable though. someone else should chime in.

it just looks severely oxidized to me. It looks salvagable

Assuming that it is single stage (does the color come off when wiped with a cleaner wax?).



I'd go at it with optimism. You'll likely see a remarkable improvement!

Yeah, it does come off on the applicator. Thats the answer i was hoping to hear! Thanx for the advice. Any recommendations on to what products to use?

I like AIO for oxidation, but most paint chemical cleaners should work fine.
