A friend's Bronco. 217,000 miles... I don't think its seen a cleaning in 10 years. Outside only..

I had to remove glue that held a soft top onto the tailgate..I wet sanded it off, then used the Mother's prof line polish. (see photo)

Mother's professional line polish with rotory 1000rpm

Optimum polish PC

Mother's Sealer/Glaze

Pinnacle Wax

Very nice, that old paint still had life in it. may I ask what you used on the metal bumper and the black plastic strip at the front?

Metal bumper- mother's mag and aluminum polish and the bumper strip I used Mequiar's exterior trim detailer spray.

Wow, awesome turnaround.

How did you like the OP with the PC?

Optimum worked really well.. no powder residue and took the light scratches out that were left from the polish with the rotory. This was my first time I've used Optimum. It didnt shine above the others that I've used (mezernas and poorboys to name a few) but it was easy to use.

Wow! I used to clean one just like that when I was first starting out...but then they were relatively new.

Excellent turnaround, I assume it has the original single stage paint?

That really isn't the same Bronco is it? Holy rotary splatter that is some turnaround. How much time did you put into it in total? What was your friends reaction? :buffing:

Scottwax, yes its single stage paint. My pads turned totally black within a minute or so! I had to clean them constantly! They are in the garage still, uncleaned from the detail. I was too exhausted yesterday to clean them. When you did a bronco like this years ago, what did u use on the fiberglass top? I used Mequiar's exterior trim detailer... it worked ok, but nothing great.

The whole truck (outside only remember) took me about 5 hours. A good wash took about an hour of that time. Then after I used the rotory and the Optimum with the PC, I rinsed again. Then i treated the wheels and glazed and waxed the truck.

The wheels just took a lot of scrubbing. White wall tire cleaner, and then I used Mother's Mag and Chrome polish on everything. I took the center cap off to really polish well.

My friend was stunned. She just looked at it with her mouth sorta opened.. she couldnt believe it. She bought it brand new and its her "baby"..She said I have to put her on a maintainence plan... she doesnt every want it to be as dirty as it was again!!

Thanks for the compliments!
