The Enforcer

I got a calll from a little 84 year old lady today requesting some detailing work. over the phone, she said the truck had original paint, but had always been washes and taken care of, and didnt have any big scratches. so i asked her to drop it off this morning, and we would take a look at it a determine a price.

when she arrived, the truck hardly had a reflextion to it, wasnt missing clearcoat in certain spots, the paint had little chips in it everywhere. the interior was nasty with pet hair everywhere. sooo after discussing prices, we settled on a 1-stage polish, full interior detail, all that. she said just only wanted it to be "shiney and have a reflection"....so the one-stage polish was perfect for it. if its not even a nice car, i hate doing extensive stuff to it anyways....its just not reawrding to me for some reason no matter what i charge.

-washed with dawn

-clayed with clay magic purple

-wheel wells and wheels cleaned with APC

-System One X3 polish w/ the double side Edge pad

-Autoglym radiant wax

-tires/rubber/vinyl dressed in KC Chemical Satin Blue Shine

-interior vaccumed, everything cleaned with meguires interior detailer (i hate greasy wet looking interiors, just a nice new look is good with me).

keep in mind this is no where near my best work....this is just all she could afford, and truthfully all that this truck really needed. no need to spend $300 on a full job when the truck isnt very nice and isnt worth much!

thank you! ive only been doing this heavy for 6 months or so, this is my 13th car i belienve, so im slowly getting the hang of it and learning which products to use at certain times and finding ways to get things done faster. any tips are appreciated! for only a 5 hour job (by myself) with a tough truck to being with, i was happy with the results.
