I did the Drivers side door tonight because i was bored. I got a little too happy and burned the paint a little (you can see it in the picture) but luckily... i will be repainting the car soon anyway.

I Used the orange cutting pad with Powergloss then followed up with IP... it finished VERY WELL as you can seee below so i didnt even take the time to use 106.

I had A LOT of fun with this!

Looking great Daniel for a 30 yr old door panel , looks better and wetter with more shine to it!, keep it up and soon your be a young master at it!...............:bow

Thanks! I lauphed at myself at my stupidity when i burned through the paint. That paint was sooooo soft too tho. Like i just went over it with my (clean) hand and i could see marring.

Dan, don't use speed 6 ever :lol you are definitely making progress though, if it weren't for that big spot of metal that panel looks great!

Haha! Yea, I did somewhat try to burn it... but not in that spot lol. I tried a little lower doing the same thing and it didnt burn through (it was repainted a while ago and i think they put 2 layers of paint on the bottom half)... i may be wrong tho.

lol... meh... its not THAT bad. lol You should see the roof i honestly dont know how the body shop is going to do that one, theres actual GOUGES in the paint. like the metal is uneven. I wont even touch it with any of my pads cus it would rip them apart.

Me personally have had it for about a year, the owner before me had it for about 5 and the original owner who left it outside a while and let tree branches collect on the hood and roof.

yepp, shes german lol. Thanks! I was amazed how well it finished down. And toward the end i got "wreckless" and just went straight to IP with white pad and it worked VERY well also.

Hey brian... i think im going to stop at 4 from now on... is that a good idea?

lol

Yikes! I use 4 when I'm SERIOUS about correction...2-3 for most of the rest. I have been know to crank it high with hard paint and a wool pad though..
