1970 Superbird Hemi

This is every's detailers dream, a 1970 Superbird Hemi. When I got the call from this owner, and he told me what the car was, I got goose bumps. he was the 2nd owner, and had the car in storage after the restoration. Visual inspection of the car looked great, but after touching it, I knew it needed work. Like most rare classics, who would of known the value of this car going up the way it has. with a sticker price of around 6 grand, today they are going way over six figures. my process in detailing this gem, was a hand wash and clay. next ; paint cleaner/polish using my DW443.....then seal. time involved was around 4 hours and the owner was over joyed.

This car was not going to a car show near detroit was it? I saw one identical to this at the Eyes on Design Car Show in the Edsel Ford Estate this weekend.

Nice ride!

Great work--love the car! It takes me back to my high school days....

Were the decals on the car a new set? I can't imagine the originals being presentable. Did you do anything special with them?

Again, thanks for sharing. It makes me wish for one.

The amazing Super Bird man those thing are animals till this day, and the price of Mopars has sky rocketed in the last 5 years. Makes me wish I kept my 72 Duster (340), the car looks great and I really envy you for being able to clean one up. I love the way the wind and nose are actually functional and not just some wild cosmetic add on.
