I was at the Barrett-Jackson auction for a few days last week/weekend and had the opportunity to detail this crazy creation from Bairs Customs!

It`s a on-off custom build, 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. Sherwin-Williams custom paint color-Purple Rage, blown big inch hemi, discs all the way around, plenty of carbon fiber, big wheels, etc thru and thru.

This was the debut of the vehicle and it was being shown in the Dodge booth/area of the auction. It was fresh out of the shop and paint booth and had a few issues. Sanding marks, some scratches and plenty of swirls.

It needed to look GREAT for the display as well as for it`s debut at the Palm Beach Cars and Coffee on Sunday.

It was cut with Adam`s polishes fast correcting compound, MF pads, Swirl Killer polisher (both 15mm full size and their mini) along with Adam`s correcting polish and finishing polish with the corresponding pads.

It took some time to cover all the real estate, but in the end, the results were worth it!!

At Cars & Coffee the Sunday after the auction ended. Palm Beach Cars & Coffee-an epic C&C event!!!

They rolled out the red carpet!

Awesome sun shots!!!!

Great work, looks fantastic. My dream car is 68 or 69 roadrunner with modern drivetrain. I see a Whipple under the hood.

Great work on an amazing piece of art. How did you like the Adams polishers, guessing by the all Adam`s products they were a sponsor or choice of the builder?

Sizzle Chest- The car`s not to my taste but you sure did a *GREAT* job on it! To think that the starting point had sanding marks...wow.

Did it right there at the venue, huh? That makes your work even more impressive IMO.

Thanks everyone!!! It was pretty cool getting to do this beautiful build!!!

HCF: Whipple`d hemi under the hood. 6 speed Tremec trans. Dana 60 rear.

trashmanssd: Adam`s Polishes is now the official car care/sponsor of the Barrett-Jackson auctions. The polishers are not bad. They worked fine. I would like a little bit more `power` and I would`ve killed for one of my 3401`s!!! You can`t beat those machines for the price though, IMO.

Brandt: sorry bro, no full on engine shots. No interior or undercarriage shots either. Was too busy with the paint to take any other shots. I can contact the builder and have him email me some and post them up later.

Accumulator: Thank you!!! Yep, sanding marks, swirls-lots of them, and some scratches, haze, etc. Yep! Did it right there in the Dodge booth/area in the middle of the action. It was a little distracting at first--so many people watching, asking questions and trying to be funny by telling me I missed a spot. LOL The lighting wasn`t ideal in there either, but by taking your time and using some hand held swirl finders, got the job done and the next day`s sun shots proved it! Yeah!!!!

Thanks again so much for the comments everyone!!!!
