Hey guys...I am going to be doing a paint correction detail on a 1969 Stingray next week.

I am pretty sure it is a single stage paint. I have done many a paint correction before but nothing this old with single stage paint...

What are some suggestions to make sure I DON'T do....

and then some....to DO...

Thanks for your help...

You will definitely want to be careful of all the sharp edges...especially if it's the original single stage paint! I'd try and find out the history of the paint before even touching it. Also be sure do a good walk around and document any areas of concern like edge burns before doing any work.

other than that paint is paint so it really shouldn't be any different than a typical car. You working by DA or rotary?
