I got a call from my friend Frank a week ago alerting me to a car show at Belmont Raceway in Long Island, New York. We're both friends from our local car show and I had detailed his 1971 Buick Skylark in the past (I made a thread about it, its also on my webpage). He said all our friends are going and asked me if I would detail his new 1964 Buick Skylark for the show. I told him I would be happy to and got to work a few days later. Two days of washing, polishing, cleaning and waxing certainly paid off as the car looked amazing (the judges thought so too) and we took home 3rd place in his class.
Wash: Gold Class
Polish: M105/205 on 7" 2.0 pads on my rotary and G110
Interior: QID, APC, UP and Odor Elminator.
Tires, wheelwells and engine: Hyperdressing
Wax: Gold Class+ via G110 on 4" finishing pad the day before and a final coat of Pinnacle Souveran by hand that morning.
QD: Last Touch 1:1
Windows: Stoner's glass cleaner and UQW
Metal: Nevr Dull
Without further ado:
:thx
