$140,000 Porsche

I would have never guessed this cars value.......customer came in with a Twin Turbo either was a 911 or Carerra, for the venture shied install. he asked me to drive it to the body shop when i was done for some custom painting. The guy races it, and was having some numbers painted on it. anyway, when I drove it to the body shop, I had a nice road so I it pushed it a little and OH MY GOD, it was like a G-Force when I gave it gas in second gear. When I got to the body shop I was talking to the owner and he said the customer paid $140,000 for it. He said they made very few of these twin turbo models. top speed is 200MPH. some mods were done to the engine also. what a trip to drive. I'm glad I found out AFTER I drove it what it was worth....Gary

I know a guy whos got a turbo and I got a ride in it and yeah no joke the G's are nuts.

That was before his mods now he has an extra 155 HP i cant wait for a ride!

Pushed it alittle...Ha. I freaked out a local Belle Tire because of a young guy ,who worked there, around my age smoked my tires out back alittle. He obviously didnt think I was the owner of the car. Caught him red handed!

Nonetheless sounds sweet. Congrats on being trusted and getting to drive it!

I'm surprised he let anyone drive it. I wouldn't!

I sure wouldn't either but more so because more than likely insurance may not cover it! If you give your car to someone to drive and they have an accident it may not be covered, and even if it is it goes on YOUR record which means higher rates. Check with your insurance company before giving ANYONE the keys.

Gary, how do you like the venture shield film? I have applied it a few times and it seems to be less likely to have the "disturbed adhesive", but the film was very "orange peely." I really prefer the llumar film for its optical clarity, but it does have the tendency to have the disturbed adhesive.

I carry 1/2 million in liability coverage, I drive more expensive care than that, Lambo's Ferarri's/

I don't install the venture film I have a guy come in and do it. I can only compare it to 3-M and between those two VS wins hands down, 3-m looks much more orange peelly I like the VS so much I put it on my new GXP turbo Solstice. It looks great. you can hardly see it. I'm not familiar with the film you mentioned but it sounds like its a good product. Gary

I had a guys car in the shop about a month ago.....2006 Porsche 997 C4S. Optioned out with everything! Including automatic trans w/paddles and suede headliner. $140k with 4k on the clicker!

Doing two Lamboghini's and an AMG CL63 in the near future. Will post pics as they are my first.

Very good client of mine is also taking delivery in May of a new Audi S8! WOW!!!

Man I love people with money.....just so I can touch their cars!

My friend owns a $2.7 million Bugatti Chiron. She maintains the paint herself. Just so happens she recently inherited $6 billion from grandpa. I`ve driven it. 1600hp will kick you in the ass quickly.

Geez that`s weird - it came up on my computer as a recent thread so I just commented LOL

The G`s are nutz, I`ve had the pleasure of driving a previous gen E63 AMG (Pre face lift, Performance Package rated at 540hp and 590ftlb) which was very fast. Then to top that, a bosses` friend let me do a few highway pulls in his ~725hp GT500, it made the E63 feel slow. Once a car reaches the 700hp club, the acceleration is unrelenting:P. OP, that Porsche you drove is most likely a 997 Gen 911 Turbo, laughably quick;)
