100 hour detail

Detail was absolutely sick, Car looks great however, if some of the top guys on this site were asked to replicate that finish it could be done in 50-60% less time.

I don`t by the 100 hours unless you include cure time. Actual work time 100 hrs by a guy who knows what he is doing. 100 hrs work time......NO. IMHO.

He has Gloss-0-meters

Big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

As a side note, I could see gloss meters becoming a thing in the future (once pricing becomes more reasonable). Detailers and even product manufacturers will then be able to provide `tangible` results of their service/product superiority. Interesting concept to me.

Meh

People need to use their eyes. It`s like buying audiophile equipment cuz of great specs, but ya can`t hear the difference.

Maybe. But I think there`s a segment of people who still want to `know` what they`re getting. And could be great marketing for detailers to justify higher prices. I can see wax companies marketing their product has a "gloss factor of a bajillion". Sort of a way to `prove` quality if you will.

IMHO

He won`t get it

I would rather have a stock Z06 right off the truck. Doubt that it brings over 100K. I can`t see anyone paying that much for a used Z06 when a new one can be had for under $100k. The detail, film, polishing etc., is worth something but not more than an extra 4-5k. IMHO the biggest value is the flawless finish. It does look amazing. Cooperider`s detail and video of the LaFerrari is awesome too.
