I don't post that much here but I'm an avid reader/lurker. I figured I'd share a job I did today on a friends 2000 Honda S2000. The friend bought it used about 6 months back and I'd say the previous owner NEVER took care of it and my friend has kind of slacked off himself on it. The paint was in average condition w/ a decent amount of spider webbing and the mirror's as you'll see were very faded. All the work was done by hand as my PC has not been delivered as of yet.

Process:
Meg's NXT
Mothers Clay Bar w/ NXT soapy water
Washed again after Clay bar
3M Perfect-It Rubbing compound (On a couple spots & the mirrors)
Pinnacle Swirl Remover
Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze
Menzerna FMJ
Natty's

Tires & Fenderwells:
Poorboy Bold N' Bright

Windows & Interior/Trim:
Stoner's Glass Cleaner
Wolfgang's Vinyl & Rubber protectant - Dash/Trim
Four Star Leather cleaner and 4 Star Leather Conditioner - Seats
Nexus Plastic Polish - Headlights

So here are some before and after pics:

Just washed and clayed.

You can see the condition of the paint pretty good here, no shine!

The mirror's had absolutely no shine to them. No paint care in Florida = this...

Just a little neglected.

A nice scratch on the hood.

Picture isn't the clearest but hopefully you get the idea.

Scratch on the hood. My PC didn't get here in time so I did what I could by hand but I felt it came out well for all by hand work.

Definitely not as good as some of yall but I'm learning!!!! :bass

Damn dude do your arms hurt at all? Cause for that many steps thats amazing! You will love your PC when it comes in.

The arms definitely do get sore the next day. I've done ONE suv by appointment by hand and that has been the last time I took an SUV job until I get my PC in,lol.

The Menzerna line is by far one of my favorites. The only reason I didn't use the Menz' Final Polish II but I snagged the Pinnacle SwR from Autogeek during the holidays so I figured I'd try it. Its not too bad but nowhere near as easy to remove as the FPII especially when your doing the whole car by hand. Beyond that Natty's is definitely my paste of choice!

looks great .. once you get youre pc you will kick yourself for not getting one sooner :ranton  :hah :wall

It took me a good 7-8hrs. The 3M step was only taken on a few spots that needed it so that step is just intermittent. The pinnacle went on very easily and worked in by hand pretty easily, coming off was ok, not as easy as my Menz FPII but not bad.

I have used the FMJ on a few cars now and absolutely love it. It has by far been the easiest sealant to work with and so far has produced the best results for me. I usually apply it w/ a MF applicator and stick to Menzerna’s application guidelies (i.e. half hood, etc.). I remove it w/ a MF towel and buff out w/ a Koala Buffing towel I have.

I have a few other sealants but FMJ is my go to product most of the time.
