I have Eimann Fabrik High Intensity on my list of things to buy and have read that people use that for everything including female breast augmentation. :p

seriously, though... what do people use for the cloth seats (Subaru Forester) and carpets (BMW & Subaru)? I think I'd rather shampoo the floor mats, for example, rather than spot clean them.

I have always had really good sucess with Prestone carpet cleaner right off the shelf. It is really good stuff. I haven't found a stain or problem that it can't remove.

This is one of my favorite AMG cars. This thing just sounds mean even with the factory exhaust. It was a pretty simple detail since this car is well cared for by the owner. Before pics actually look pretty good since it wasn't very dirty but I thought I'd include them. There was no beading at all on the surface and some mild contamination though, so it definitely needed it.

The windshield had a crack and was filled the same day I was out to detail it, so the repaired area could not get wet. This is also why the pics are just so/so since things were delayed a bit by the windshield guy. When all was done the car and wheels got a coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond, glass was sealed with Zaino.

Thanks for checkin it out!

The car looks amazing Jeff! Nice work!

I really like the look of the graphite on the wheels and body accents.
Can you share a little bit more about the Steps and Products you used before applying the BFWD?

Thanks!
Todd

Thanks Todd!

It was given a foam pre-soak bath, rinsed and washed with Zaino Z7, clayed with Z18 and ONR as lube, rinsed again, dried, applied BFWD by hand on paint and wheels, while drying I applied Zaino AIO to the glass and dressed the tires, then removed the BFWD.

Thanks for the extra info Jeff!
I haven't tried the Zaino products yet, have primarily been using Menzerna, Blackfire Clay and the BFWD.

Is it recommended to wash after Claying, and then after Polishing again?
From what I've been reading on this forum, looks like that's a pretty common practice for the professionals like yourself.

Todd, it really depends on the condition of the paint. If you have a lightly contaminated car, a rinse after claying is just fine. However, if there is heavy contamination and your getting brown-ish water residue left behind, its a good idea to wash after claying. Washing after polishing is great if you have the time, and a VERY good idea if you're doing any compounding (especially if the compound dusts a lot).

Thanks for the info/tips Jeff...very much appreciated!
Where in the Bay Area are you located? Do you have a shop or work mobile or out of your personal garage?
Go GIANTS!
