By anyone's definition this Maybach is now a " Beautiful Machine " .

wow the sunlight pic, the gray, the white, the black tires wow blows my mind away looks almost computer generated. just awesome

Looks good, but I have a question for you guys. I understand masking off the edges and plastic trim, but what purpose does it serve to mask of the chrome/stainless pieces?

I usually buff over those with no trouble. Of course they weren't Maybachs!!!!

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Wool compound swirls on stainless can be almost impossible to remove so "when in doubt tape it up" plus if the trim is damaged can you imagine how much that might cost to replace, this thought does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling to say the least(it would be BANK!!!!!).

On most cars the trim piece is plastic with chrome or black chrome plating, thet do not respond well to the heat rotary buffing produces(lessons learned along time ago).

Thanks for the quick reply. I usually use foam pads, never had to use my wool yet, and as for the rotary I know to be careful but I guess it never hurts to be too careful!!

Thanks again

nothing but priceless! im talking about your work and not the car. although the car is beautifull the work is outstanding!

Looks great Bob!!

I did a Maybach 62 a while back and remember how looooong it was. Definitely a cool car, but not really my style. I think the car needs some sort of 2-tone to break it up a little. It's just too much of one color.

Awesome work!!

Just wanted to clarify that I did not have any part of the rotary correction on this car, it was the Granite Auto crew(Gloss-it). Rich got his butt out of the office and helped formulate the correction steps based upon the defects.

The part I had was with Clevie from Auto Star in Bermuda(there for training) we both washed ,clayed and taped off the vehicle. I had left by mid morning for the loooonnnngggg drive back to the Bay Area from Vegas(boring drive for anyone who has done it).

Did not want to take false credit on this job, however I did have a big part in the other job(mustang 06 rescue) for sanding, correction, finish polishing. It was fun working with Rich's crew (claudio, omar and christian) as they do not post here I felt these guys should get some props for the skilled work they are capable of.
