08 Ford, Suicide Clean up. Not for faint of heart

Barry Theal- And here I was wondering if it was gonna be a gunshot or just an exhaust-hose, and a cloth or leather interior :sadpace:

Wanted to click on it quickly before some mod shut it down too.

LOL!

Barry I actually had to do a suicide clean up ONCE back in the day.....NEVER AGAIN! A local towing company brought it too us. It was a late '80's Mazda B2200 pick up and the guy blew his brains out! 99% of the debris was cleaned up prior to us cleaning it and their concern was getting the blood out, but we did find a piece of an eyeball behind the seat. :scared:

I puked once.... :D

RaskyR1- Heh heh, it's a little different IRL compared to watching "CSI", huh? Hope you got well-paid for that job!

LOL! Indeed. We got $500 to clean the interior of the single cab pickup (this was in the mid 90's) and IMO it was not enough. I just don't have the stomach for that kind of work.

I'd question if you could even take a car like that on today now that I think about it?

Man, I wonder if they actually sell those cars at auction or in a used car lot. Imagine buying a car with that history, and finding... something... a few years after you've bought it. Ugh.

Call me crazy but I kind of wanted to see a biohazard clean up. It's something different that you don't get to see very often.

We did the exterior of a car several years back and made a comment to the guy in charge of getting the car ready to sell that it seemed unusually warm and had a strange odour inside the vehicle that left us feeling a bit uneasy after we dropped it back to him. He was quick to tell us that they had steam cleaned the interior 3 times in an attempt to clean it after a young guy had gassed himself in the car. It was as though he'd expected us to sense something.

Not sure what happened to the car in the end but it definitely had a creepy feel to it.
