Anyone else ever do a full detail on a Black Suburban?? Well, I just got done polishing my dads and I must say it was ALOT of work. There is more square footage on that vehicle than there is in my apartment, lol. I am going to be sore tommarow. I probably spent 10 hours doing a full paint correction, and mind you that this vehicle as been ran through car washes from day one:hairpull. Tommarow I will be applying a glaze and a coat of wax and I will post pics.

LQ9SS- I can sympathize! I did a full job on a black rent-a-Suburban (yeah, a rental..imagine the shape it was it!) a few years ago, IIRC I spent about eight hours with the rotary before I switched to the Cyclo for the final polishing. Yep...they're a big job of work all right!

I currently have a carbon metallic Denali XL for our primary dog-hauler that I find *harder* in some ways that straight black as the metallic makes it hard to spot finer marring. The exterior correction took me forever as I had to spend minutes inspecting each panel after every pass.

I bet your dad will be *VERY* happy with it once you're finished. Props for doing it :xyxthumbs

Haven't had to do an SUV yet, perish the thought, but I've done our truck with 4 inch pads on the PC, bloody hell was that an exercise in patience.
