These two belong to regular customers and I wash each one every 2 weeks. Both where detailed in the last 3 months and I used Optimum Car Wax on both. The last two times I have washed them, I've finished them off with Zaino Z8 Sealant Spray. Really helps keep the cars looking wet and feeling slick. Z8 is the one Zaino product I seriously like. :)

2006 Porsche Carrera S. Only a couple months old, the paint was in excellent shape. I polished it with Jeff's Werkstatt Prime using a blue Propel finishing pad and topped with Acrylic Jett by hand.

I got a couple sun shots of the metallic before it went behind the house:

By the time I completely finished, the sun was quickly going down. Just another reason to hate winter.... ;)

2006 BMW 330i. Graphite grey. Really nice color. Nice metallic too, but I didn't finish until late afternoon so I didn't get any sun shots. I used Clearkote's Vanilla Moose with a green Propel lite cut pad and Poorboy's Natty's Blue by hand. I used Natty's specifically because of how wet it looks on darker colors. :)

While I was there today, I also QEW'ed the daughter's '06 330ci. I used the Werkstatt twins on it a couple weeks ago.

Nice pair of car to put in the garage, eh?

Cars look awesome !!! Some of those pics looks like the entire town in the background is on fire or something (smokey looking).. must be the camera settings.

Always impressed... I wish I could rub on some of the cars you do. Its hard to build a regular customer base when I go to school 3 hours from home and come back only every couple weeks.

Scott great work!! The sun going down early is at the bottom of my list of reasons why I hate winter though. Snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and road salt/sand are of greater concern to me.

I have to say I was thinking "I have to get me some of that Jeff's" after I saw the Porsche which looks awesome. Then I saw the 330i and I was like WOW. Poorboy's is good stuff. I'm slowly buying up items in their line.

Jeff's Werkstatt Prime and Acrylic Jett are excellent products, they look amazing.

I think I may try using them soon, excellent work.

Everytime I see a black car it is always compared to your work, you produce the BEST black.

Great work Scott! I always enjoy your threads. I love how you describe in detail the products used, last detail and brief history of each car. :bigups

Few questions here:

1. what did you think of the new 2006 BMW 330ci. How was the paint, fit and finish of the vehicle, and did it appear larger then the previous model line(e46)

2. How did you like the Porsche? Did you get to drive it at all?

That is the effect of the long rays of the setting sun in the background. Unfortunately, I don't have much control over where the cars are when I take pictures.

1. I like the exterior of the E46's more than the new E90's, but the fit and finish looked excellent and the orange peel is minimal. The interior is definitely larger, looks almost as large inside as the previous generation 5's.

I do think the E90's are less bangled than the 5 and 7.

2. The Porsche is beautiful! Really nice metallic black paint too. I backed it up to make sure the tires were completely dressed but that was it.

nice work- you use different products for what seems to be similar colors. Any reason for your choices.

Thanks

Sometimes I am just trying out new combinations, other times I just have a feel for what would look best.
