05 Lamborghini Gallardo-Lots of scratches

This vehicle is owned by the client that has the 09 Escalade. He is very picky about his vehicles and wanted this one to look like it should. It only has 4k on it and has never been polished since new. After looking over the vehicle it was covered in scratches and factory wet sanding marks. He noticed them after bringing the vehicle home when new and has not done anything with them till now. They are very hard to see in the sun so out of sight out of mind kind of thing until now. So now this is one of the many cars he has that I will be taking care of for him.

The following products were used to correct defects-various LC pads from orange up to blue, 3M wool pad, M105, M205, and Ultrafina. Lots of 3M green tape. For the LSP I used the new beta Lusso Oro from Phil. The wax is very hard but easy to apply and very easy to remove.

The first four pics are out of 20 I took trying to get the defects. For some reason it was very hard to get them with my camera. I am sure the lighting had alot to do with it.

The rest are correction pictures. For some reason this car was very hard to take pictures of. I guess that is the problem with the point and shot cameras, you can not make adjustments for the lighting or it was the color of the car itself.

that is a great color for that car! I am not crazy about some of the greens, orange, etc on some of the Lambos. Great job BTW. Just wondering how hard the clear is on those Lambos.

Truly amazing the correction work on this Lambo. :drool5:The owner knows his cars and this one with it's color combo is insane! Thank you for sharing it here with us Dana, love this color!!!!!!!

Awesome job Dana .Move over Todd someone else is doing exotics. If this keeps up we going to have to have a show down South versus the North .

Thanks, I also like this color on the car. As far as the clear, very hard to say the least.

My experiences with modern (and certain older) Lambo's has been less then pleasant. The paint tends to be rock hard, it makes polishing Corvettes seem like a child's play.

The rear fenders are carbon fiber and hold heat for so long you sometimes have to let them cool off just to keep polishing.... The amazing amount of spots that you have to use a 4 inch pad on because the designers thought
that the grill should have a certain shape... Which is why I say...

After seeing the before condition of the paint and the quality of the afters, WOW! Dana that is an amazing job!!! I can truly feel you pain and know what you went through.

Thanks Angelo

sexy is right. Your guy must be doing pretty well for himself.

He does very well, he has numerous cars, but besides doing very well he is very down to earth and a great person to do business with.

Thanks Adam, doesn't the North always win though.:D

Thanks Todd, and you pretty much summed it up about doing a Lambo. The others I have do were no where near as bad as this one. Funny you should mention a vette. I am doing his Z06 after his wife's M3.

Nice job Asphalt Rocket, looks very good

Thanks Flash.

Beautiful correction!! cannot tell if that is Rosso Vic or......another color again great job.

Thanks Bob, the metallic in the car is awesome in the sun.

The car looks great! As a fellow point and shooter I know that the pictures don't capture the defects very well.

Thanks, this is the first time I ran into a problem picking up defects with this camera.

Awesome work Dana!

Thanks Chad. Done with your wet sanding project yet?

Not yet. :(

This has got to be the hardest paint I've ever worked on....my fault of course. Boo Hoo

I have all the initial cutting done and have about half the car left to hit with SIP, and then jewel with PO85RD. Menzurna for the most part seems to be working very well on this paint though. ;)

I had to come back and look at this Lambo again, love the color. To me the wetness is outstanding from using the Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint protection period! :drool5:
