This corvette started life out as a GM SHOW CAR.
The original window sticker was not billed out to a dealer, but rather to GM.
The owner investigated and found that there is a build or production code that would tell her whether this was true.
Inside the glove box, there's a plate with all of the car's codes. ZR6 Code (Zone Show Vehicle) is included.
So, her Vette started out life as a show car for GM
The '05 ZR6 cars had color keyed third light eyebrow and door handles, and also have aluminum Corvette sill plates.
It was maxed out with every available option.

The Wash
The vette had some light dust on it. So I went with a DP 4-in-1 wash. After that it was clayed, and brought back the shine.
Wheels & Tires
I used the DP 4-in-1 wash with the '16 deep reach wheel brush and a reg wheel brush. Toweled dry, applied Surf City's Black Tire Pro to the tires. And Optimum Opti-Seal to the rims.
Interior
It had tan interior, DP Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner on the carpets. This stuff works real well. Woolite/water mix on all other interior. Leather conditioned with Danase Leather Rx. Dash/ door/console received DP Interior Surface Protectant.
The Gameplan The reason I was called for this detail
She had a big bird bomb etching on the hood. And also it was covered in deep water etching too. So I went with 3M extra cut/ and OP. The OP keeps it from hazing. With the DeWalt and wool pad. After that was all done, went with the UDM and a white CCS pad. OP/106ff on same pad, two dabs of each. Wiped off with a Cobra Deluxe Jr. Finished with Z5pro, and Z-CS after.
The bird etching went bye bye. And the water etching was knocked out by 85-90%. Only from certain angle's could you see the water etching that remained. I didn't want to remove too much c.c. The owner was happy with that, and plans on keeping the vette for a very long time.
