Hey guys, well the owner contacted me the other day and said his car had some swirls on it, I guess he takes it to Miami once in a while and has it washed or whatever...well I got it today, was really dirty and on top of that had some pretty decent marring on the whole car...I was in for a big treat due to the fact that the clear on this beast was EXTREMELY hard and it took me a LONG time to correct it....process was as follows

Exterior:

-Wash with nxt wash

-Clay with Pinnacle Poly Ultra clay/Pinnacle clay lube

-Optimum Polish via Orange pad, pc set at 6 (2 passes made on each panel)

-Optimum Polish via White pad, pc at 6, light one time over

-Poorboys EX-P (switched from EX with caranuba to try and get a lil longer durability and I think the car looked better with the EX-P!!! it was very wet and glossy!! :secret )

-NXT Glass cleaner on all glass

-Rain X to all windows

-Wheels cleaned with wash mit with nxt and then some NXT quick detail

-Tires dressed with Meguiars Hot shine...(after I spray the tires I'll take a foam applicator to even the coverage, it works great!)

Interior:

-Vacuum

-Poorboys Trim Restorer to dash/vinyl

-Poorboys Leather stuff conditioned into leather

-Woolite Carpet Cleaner, matts scrubbed and carpets scrubbed

-Door jambs cleaned wth quick detail

-Chrome Sills cleaned with metal polish

Pics:

Before's on Paint...Marring was evenly distributed throughout the whole car, very deep marring on the passenger side rear quarter, I quickly switched to some compound on that one section, but other than that, I had a very long working time with the OP and the longer I seemed to work it in the better it cut :chuckle:

:wow: Very, very wet looking!

I have to agree about how hard the clear is on the new Mercedes but at least the one you did wasn't torn up with a rotary and wool pad like the one I did was. ;)

Still, even light marring/swirls mean a long afternoon of polishing via PC or Cyclo.

:Is that a bottle of Meg's Endurance in that net on the passengerside?

nope, it was a mercedes leather conditioner or something, I used my Poorboys leather stuff instead...

looks good BUT-

one of the best looking things about these cars are the massive 8 piston brembo calipers- and they look a bit dirty!
