I've been out of the detail picture having been in school since last Sep.Any way here's some photo's of my wife's 05.5 A4 in Quartz Grey metallic. It seems to be a tough color that pretty much looks the same no matter what you put on it.

Here's the details:

Wash with QEW,

Spot claying,

AIO x 1,

Z1,

Z2pro/ZFX x 3,

Z6 wipe down.

Nice second car, love those Avalanches. Doing that baby next? Where is that home located? That area reminds me of my hometown before that hurricane of developers arrived.

Thanks all for the compliments.

ZaneO...I like to use Z1 anytime I'm putting Z on for the first time.I feel it helps clean and prep the surface. It may be a wasted step, who knows!

Also the front end has a clear bra on it,wondering if anyone could pick up on it.

Thanks again...

I've tried to capture the metal flakes in these photo's...

I was concerned the pro version might mute the flakes a little more than the older formula of Z2.

Yeah, basically the same here too Sean.

Paint's certainly amazing, that's for sure :up The new grille, that plastic bar in the middle, just doesn't sit well with me. Some have had other issues with A4's in the past: People with B6's like mine complained about the standard gray lower panel and paid good money to have them painted ( looks OK to me on a black car), then Audi changed that I believe with the '04 model, then the body style changed this year with the new grille, back and other accents.

Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent car, there's no arguing what a great job you did! :xyxthumbs

At first I wasn't sure about the lower gray panel on my A4 either, but it definitely can take more abuse without showing rock chips, scratches, etc. I kind of like the gray contrast on my black car now that it has grown on me.
