    Cat women's Scion

I detailed this car last weekend for a girl that I work with. The whole car was a mess but all she wanted was an interior detail only. I wanted to do a full detail but she did not even care if I washed the car. Go figure. She travels a lot with her cats, so of course there was cat hair...

    How about your worst......

Ok I think that we have had the nicest, the fastest, and sleeper cars. So in that spirit how about your worst or ugliest car (come on we have all had one). Mine was a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix hubcaps and all. I needed a cheap car to drive to college in the northern winters that I did not care...

    Strangest Request...

What is the strangest request by a customer you have ever had for a detail. Here is mine and I still laugh about it to this day. When I was in high school and just started detailing, I would details my neighbors cars from time to time. My neighbors were always doing crazy, off the wall things...

Just picked up my LC pads

I just got back from picking up a set of the new Lake Country pads. I was one of the winners that received 40% off. I will post back once I have had a chance to try them out. Thanks again to Jack, Angelo, and the rest of the gang at PAC.

    Long weekend with an H2

This thing was a real beast. It is basically a box on wheels so most of the panels are pretty much flat, thank goodness. I had all kinds of things happen during this detail that killed my time line but nothing to do with the detail itself. From working in the rain most of Sat. morning to my...

Lets see some pics of a of a job that came out better than you expected

Here is a job that I did for my neighbor last fall. This is a '68 Camaro RS that he has had since High school and he is now in his late 40's. The paint is 15 year old lacquer paint. I was really happy with the results. I read on another forum with lacquer apply Meg?s #7 and allow sit over...

    When did you start detailing??

My story is I worked at a small car lot in high school and l leaned how to use a rotary. It was a Milwaukee that weighted about a thousand pounds. I kind of got away from detailing other peoples vehicles over the years but always kept up on my own cars until about a year ago when my neighbor...

    Sealant cure time

What happens if you do not allow a sealant to cure? Do you lose all the durability? For example if you applied a sealant then went right to a carnauba base wax over top of the sealant. What if you did not have 8-12 for the sealant to cure?

How much product on the pad

I was wondering how much product do you guys place on the pad. I was reading that some people use a couple dime size drops, some make and "X" and if I understand the KBM is a whole other subject. Does the amount matter if you are using a compound or a polish, a DA or a rotary? I am always...

    Tampa detailers

I am not sure if anyone in Tampa would be interested in this or not? I drove by a small dealership in Tampa yesterday and they are looking for an outside detailer to detail cars off site. They are looking for someone that has insurance and is an established business. I just detail on the...
