    Chrome exhaust tips

After two years, I hit them with a pressure washer and paint ripped off and now they are nothing but rust and not appealing. My plan is to sand them down and put a coat of primer on them, then put a coat or two of Krylon Chrome paint. Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

    rinse water

Has anyone ever used one of the 1 gallon water pumps with distilled water to rinse your car after washing? You could ever use the pump that you would use to spray pesdicides... just pump and spray. I figure it would be a good way to avoid drying and using the junkie Mr. Clean system.

    Meg's Engine Kote

I heard Meg's was discontinuing some products and Engine Kote was going to be one of them, so I ordered a gallon. I've heard so many great things about it I thought I better give it a try. I have a few questions. Does it work as well as it claims? I read that after you clean your engine, just...

Great advice and how-to on "touching up" paint

I was browsing the Bimmer forum in the detailing section to see what products they've been using and found this great post on how to touch up scratches and rock chips. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32625

    Steve

I remembered you said that you applied Natty's to a panel and EX to another and I remember you saying that both were still beading after 3 months, any update on that?

    Black Avalanche + Nattys

I was lucky enough to detail an abused black Avalanche. I should have taken some before pics, but I was excited to hurry and get on it. The hood was the worst part, it's parked under trees all day long and it was loaded with tree sap, swirls, bugs, water spots, you name it. It's also never been...

    Natty's ?

I'm using the PVA applicator that came with Natty's and I'm wondering just how long I should wait before I start to buff it off? Should I apply it so that you can barely see it (like P21S) or am I not using enough product?

    Future ideas~!

Steve, If your ever looking for some ideas on new product concepts I have some I've been thinking about. I was thinking: Car wash (nice thick, high lubricity, lots of suds!) Carpet shampoo (w/ new car fragrence ofcourse!) Heavy duty degreaser for engine detailing, etc. Just a few ideas.:hippi

    Dare to compare?

I just gave my chrome exhaust tips a nice cleansing with S&W and then went over them with some fine #0000 steel wool. After that, gave them a taste of Professional Polish and a coating of EX. I've got the shiniest nips in town.:-p :lmfao :hippi

    Pollun

Can pollun scratch paint? Where I live it's practically nothing but trees and I always park under/near large pine trees that drop pollun everywhere. Then passengers open and close my door with fingerprints in the pollun etc. I know it's real powdery and sofy, can it scratch paint though?

    Bold n Bright

What's a good dilution ratio for tires? After applying, should it be rubbed in real well? I'm just curious.:duel

My take on EX-P (no 56k!)

My shipment from Steve arrived yesterday that I was anxious to try. I ordered the Professional Polish, SSR1, and EX-P. Prior to this combo I had PwC with EX and it gave it a nice wet look, but I've always prefered reflectivity over deep. That is why I decided to try this one. I started off...

    Need to make a plan

I have a bottle of Poorboys EX and PwC on the way and need help with a plan of action. Right now I have Adam's Butterwax with a top coat of P21S over that. I don't have any swirls, besides maybe some very light ones from washing. I would like to clay my paint, but since that may leave some...

    First time with a PC

Before: After in sunlight: Used Meguiars DACP, SMR #9 with a yellow Meg's polishing pad, then finished it by applying Adam's BW by hand. I'm very pleased with my PC and very happy with my results... 90% of swirls are now gone. I've been trying for months to get rid of...

    liquid luster

Has anyone ever heard of this product? I was at the World of Wheels auto show and they had a guy demonstrating by taking a can of spray paint and spraying it on an extremely clean hood. I was rubbing on it with a damp towel and it wouldn't come off so it was definetely paint. He took a dab of...

    meg's pads washing

What is the best way to clean the pads? Also, I want to use my PC7336 this weekend, but was wondering... if I start with DACP with the yellow polishing pad, if I clean it, can I use it with the #9 ? I only have one polishing pad, I don't think it will make a difference right? This is...

    new to detailing

I just purchased a PC from Lowe's and some Meguair's pads from premiumautocare.com (Cutting, Polishing, Finishing pads). I have Meg's #9 SMR and Meg's DACP and Adam's Revive and Butterwax. I have swirls in my royal blue paint, so they show badly. I've always waxed my truck by hand, but...
