    I see little if any mention of these being used in the States, whereas in the UK no self respecting detailer would leave home without one it seems! So who uses a paint thickness gauge, and which makes/models do you favour? Are they easily available stateside, I suspect they will be cheaper...

    #82 vs #80??

    Anyone have any experience of both? I really like speedglaze but notice you can get 3.78 litres of 82 for £23 which seems a bargain. on paper they look similar, is 82 more or less agressive than 80? also how does it fit in with DACP?

    Can I use paint cleaner instead of clay?

    where does RMG fit in?

    I am experimenting with glazes and just got some RMG. Where does this fit in against my other glazes #80,#3 VM, #7 (magical beast!) Anything RMG is particularly good or bad at? favourite so far is #80 for mnor swirls and VM for general use....

    nattys, or nattys blue?

    What is the difference in real life? I knwo blue is aimed at black and red cars, but can you see a difference, and if so what colours are suited to Nattys? I have experience of p21s, how do the nattys pair compare? I notice there are no reviews on nattys, yet they get quite a few mentions?

    pure water to remover the need to dry off?

    I have seen the flash car system, and some comment that it is very good for hosing off as the pure water does not leave drying marks. I am thinkinga better way might be to put a water filter in line with the hose pipe, cheaper, longer lasting and just as effective? Anyone tried this?

    treatment for windscreen

    I have tried to use rain x without much success, is there anything else I can use that will still allow the wipers to work properly in the rain (i am UK based!!) I am thinking perhaps vanilla Moose (VM) or Megs quick detail spray?

    vibrating 7424

    whilst my pc is OK up to setting 5, on 6 it vibrates uncomfortably. I am using the velcro baking pad and 6.5 or 7" pads. Would the heavier weight from the 7336 help or do i just have to get used to it?

    Show car glaze

    I have had really good results using speed glaze with the porter cable 7424, and I now want to try the show car glaze. My method of working is to spread the glaze over the panel at lowish speed, 2 -3 then buff out with the PC on 5 and a half. I assume this will be the same with show car...
