How does everyone store there products during winter? Would a unheated garage be sufficient?

I have used many PB's products, in and out of the sun, They are very user friendly products, and yield great results. Question: What makes them work in the sun or on a warm car? PS. I always try to keep in the shade, But sometimes I have no choice.
