    "Chemical peel" for headlights?

So I had a customer tell me that a local windshield replacement shop could do her headlights using a chemical then sanding process and that it would take 4 hours at a price of $130. Huh?

Not a product yet, but perhaps the future?

I didn't know where else to post this, and since it's a polymer, I thought I'd share; An incredible new polymer that heals itself to 97% efficiency

    2011 Audi R8 V-10

Here it is, in the sun. Judging from this angle I immediately knew what I was in for. Car was overall in great shape, the owner is very finicky and nervous about aggressive compounds. Wheels faces were clean but the inner barrel and calipers not so much. Used Sonax and various bushes...

    Opt-Clay issues

So I bought the light block and have had nothing but trouble. It marred my wife's CX-9 and a test spot on a GTI. I tried it with ONR clay lube and other dilution ratios, even cutting the block in two (as I read from Detail Chick) and still did nothing and was skipping all over the place...

    GT-R "double Clear coat"

Anyone have advice on working on that clear? from what I've read, it can be a bit tricky. Nothing to severe as far as swirls go, but I wasn't sure how something like M205 would work even for minor imperfections.

    Can I follow Meg's 205 followed with Menz SF4500

Hello best and brightest. I have a question I was hoping someone can answer. I've used 205 for god knows how long and was wondering if I can finish even better using SF4500 after. With 205 I usually use a LC Crimson or Tangerine and was reading that SF4500 with a white or black pad yields some...

    topping 22ple

So I've got a high end car coming this week and wanted to go a bit special for them and get the VX1. Can I top it with, say, BlackFire Carnuba for extra pop or should I just leave it be?

    RUPES backing plate

Hi all, I just upgraded to the RUPES Big Foot 21 and I had a question on the factory plate. I've been using a Griot's with 5.5" pads (meg's MF/LC Hydro's, mostly MF), can I attach the old 6" LC's I have with the RUPES plate or do I need to switch to the Meg's plate? In general, when I get new...

    BFWD over D301

Trying to keep my time down on an Escape. Instead of my usual m205 I was going to use D301 since it dusts less and works a bit quicker (plus I've got a bunch of it from a misorder). Will BFWD have the same results over an AIO?

1970 Mustang Mach I, quick post

Early AM arrival Wheels needed some gentle cleaning, I used Chemical Guys All Metal Polish Megs 105/205 combo, BF Gloss enhancing polish, 2 coats BFWD, one coat BF midnight sun. I was quite happy since it won 1st place at the local car show, too bad the owner is selling it.

    Anyone try Sonax Leather Foam

Judging by what the description says it's sounds pretty good. I've been using Leatherique Pristine Clean and am almost out, so I was wondering where my money should go.

    need help; Mustang Mach 1

So I have an opportunity to correct some minor to medium swirls/marring on a fully restored Mach 1. Problem is, I've never worked on an older car such as this. Now, it was repainted and from what the owner told me "they went heavy on the clear". From my first impression I noticed no orange...

BF gloss enhancing polish + 845

I need to layer my car up for the spring/summer, it's been neglecting doing other cars. I have a taffeta white Fit and I know collinite 845 is probably the best to bring out the white but I was wondering if applying BFGEP would really make much of a difference. I don't want to waste any product...

    Extractor idea

So I just picked up a Bissell Little Green Machine and while I'm quite happy with it I got to thinking. What if you just filled up a pump sprayer with boiling water and APC as the sprayer and modified an extractor hose to a wet vac? I'm sure it'd be a whole lot cheaper and give you more suction...

    Meg's MF meltown

I was buffing an A4 (hard clear) so I decided to up my GG DA to speed 5. It was actually cutting a bit better when all of a sudden, BAM! to much heat built up and the foam disintegrated. Not a big deal, problem is, the back of the foam pad has fuzed itself with the hook and loop of the backing...

    BFWD or COL845 over BFWD?

Getting ready for winter and just did a black Infinity G35 coupe. My question is should I stick with two coats of BFWD or top it with a thin layer of collinite 845? I know Col is a cleaner wax and it looks great when I do lighter cars, I was always under the impression that was the way to go...
