PC use over seams in the body

As an example, the body panel seam between the hood and front 1/4 panel, or where the back of the dorr and the rear 1/4 meet, I have seen some tape over it. I understand this is to prevent cc burn on the panel corner. However, it would also leave un-polished paint where the tape was. Would...

    1Z Customer Service

I called 1Z yesterday with a single question (expecting to get an answering machine to be honest or someone who didn't know what they were talking about) What I got was a 20 minute conversation talking to Mike which was very helpful in answering many questions! He was very laid back and was...

Question about "Use in the sun" products

It seems like one of the only product lines that advertises "Use in the sun" is ok is Poorboys. (maybe a couple others, not sure) Does everyone not using PB's *really* do all their polishing/waxing under-roof? This year I will be detailing other peoples cars more than my own. I have to assume...

Possible to apply paste wax right after EX/EXP application?

Can something like Natty's Wax be applied say 1/2hr after applying Ex or EXP? I've seen some people say to let EX "cure" for 24 hrs before topping. Others like ScottWax on Autopia apply a topper right away with excellent results... So, does the time factor matter at all?

What makes a product able to be used in the sun?

I'm kind of a noob but there are so many good products that are not recommended to be used in the sun, but all PB's stuff can be. What makes PB's stuff so different in that way? Does it just stay wet significantly longer (in the hot sun)? When I start to detail other peoples cars, they will...

Hawk HPS users, please come in

Hawk HPS pads I'm looking to switch to these on my 98 Integra GSR. In searching some say they don't dust much (less than oem?), others say they dust quite a bit. What is YOUR experience? Also, if you found a pad with less dust but better stoping that they sell fitments for a Integra for...

    Tiefenpfleger and exterior trim

How long is Tiefenpfleger suppose to last on smooth exterior trim? I tried some PB's trim restorer and it did not last through 1 rainstorm, PB's told me it was because it is not meant for smooth trim, only grained...

PB's TR outlasted by 303 on exterior

I tried a 2" faded section of windshield trim with TR and a 2" faded section with 303. I applyed, waited 10 minutes and then buffed both off. The 303 looked better to me (darker) but I expected it to wear off quick.... well 3 weeks later (and 2 rains later), the area that had the 303 applied...

    First time PC user success

1998 Integra GSR Milano Red. I taped to show each side, the line is the dust line left by the tape. Left side is Zaino applied over swirls 3 months ago. Right side has SSR2 x 4 (LC yellow), SSR1 x 2 (LC white pad), PwC, EX. The dots are my pitted-to-hell paint from the previous owner (picture...

What non-ERV dressing do you use on exterior trim AND paint?

I've done some searching :xyxthumbs and found that "Accumulator" likes to use paint products on ERV trim instead of something like 303. I have become interested in this because you could have 1 product to apply to basically everything on the exterior (except windows obviously). You wouldn't have...

http://www.properautocare.com/nycamatscbr.html Did a search and didn't find much. Is this worth the $14 over brushing carpets, cloth seats, etc. by hand?

    Anyone heard of/use "Ecolab" products?

A local detailer here uses Ecolab "sealants and waxes" in bulk. Ever heard of it, is it junk? The only Ecolab stuff I've seen is the bulk soap and floor cleaners for restaurants. Another place uses "Phase 2" products, anyone have info on that either? Just curious...doing research on my...

Anybody feel 303 is too shiney on the dash?

I bought my Integra a year ago and have never applied a dash protectant to it's black vinyl dash. I read up on 303 and it seemed to be the farthest from a ghetto shine so I tried it out yesterday. Dusted dash first, then applied 303 with a terry pad (about 6-8 squirts total covered the entire...

Coin-op wand wash, just rinse or rinse and soap?

With it being in the 20's here, I've been using the $1 wand wash to keep the salt off instead of QEW. I'm try to decide to spend $1 to just rinse with water or spend $2 to wash with whatever soap they use first then rinse with water. There's pros/cons to each so what's your vote? The soap...
