my friend got an early 90s passat (forgot the exact yr) and it needs some minor work, nothing serious. I was thinking:
clay, #9, VM, s100 and some 303 for the interior.

so I'm doing this detailing fundraiser (only 2 cars so far, doh) and was wondering how much I should do. I doubt that most people will notice any difference if I just spray the wheel well down or jack...
I'm thinking of handing out a card w a picture of a finished car on the front. I don't have a color printer, so Kinko's would be my printing option. I thought about getting my digicam pics developed, but the 3x5 is too big for a small card.

For glaze/polish:
The autopia download says foam for clear coat, terry for non. I've read several threads saying terry pad for glazes, very mild polishes (#7,#9, VM?) and foam for stronger polishes. I think someone also said that foam leaves some more swirls than terry. I know a MF pad is...
Do you just keep all of your stuff in your car? Or do you have some kind of folding table to put your towels and bottles? Last weekend I detailed my friend's cars and put all of the stuff on the driveway or on a large towel. It worked, but didn't seem very "professional" to me.
I read the chemistry 101 article about dirt as well as all of the other articles here (great stuff), but I want to know more:
1) German car paint: what's the deal? what is different about it at the molecular level and fab process?
2) How does polish make a car shine? Again at a more in depth...
