    Meguiars #66

Ive been considering using this product with a PC that I am going to be ordering soon. It looks like a good one step process for normal every day cars, and the price is hard to argue with? Questions, comments...discuss.

    What's left

Allright, I personally feel that nothing but a full repaint will fix this, but I figured I would run it on here just to make sure.

    Paint weirdness

A friend of mine just got a 2000 Lincoln LS, but we have a problem with the exterior. Its extremely rough, not smooth at all. It seems that the roughness goes away (to an extent) if you rub the area with a soft cloth. Any ideas?

    An few free hours

Allright, it jsut got through raining here, and the radar loks clear for the rest of the day. I noticed my car is still beading, but it needs some cleaning. I dont feel paticularly motivated to bust out all of my supplies and do a number on her. So I am considering the following. 1. Meguiars QD...

    Late night lurkers

I swear, being young is so great. I get summers off, to relax with some cool lemonade when my arm is tired from all of the STRENUOUS detailing. Yep and after the night has died, and the world sleeps, I lurk the web. In silence I stealthily zip from thread to thread, post to post, cracking my...

    Scuff marks be gone!

Well I have hated scuff marks for years. But no matter what I tried, I could never get rid of them, not even with rubbing alcohol. So tonight, I drew the battle lines on a 2002 red BMW. I started off light, using SG dilluted 30:1, no go. So I stepped up to alcohol, no go. Depressed I went back...

    The Dealer Work

What kind of process do you use to do these cars. I know its not a high-end showcar process, so whats the secret to making it look good enough to sell? Normal people never look at the paint more than when they are buying the car. Time for all you car dealer maggots to line up and chime in :D

    Getting that pop!

Ive been trying to get a glazed type effect out of the white paint on my car. Switching a microfiber cloth while QDing did make a difference, but I am looking for more. Any recommendations?

    The Quick Wash

I only had a little time to work today, and I managed to do the following in 2 1/2 hours. I had to work fast, because there was no shade to speak of. Results are quite nice. Process: Cleaned the engine bay, dressed it, washed the car, spray wax, dryed, cleaned the clearcoat on the wheels, waxed...

    Compensating for weather

I know some of you from the south can relate to this, so here goes. Where I live, the temperatures outside during the day are downright unbearable. Usually by 9AM we are into the 90s, and after 10 its allready over 100. It usually stays over 100 until roughly 8-9 PM, and the lowest I have seen...

    More charging questions

I did not want to hijack the other thread, so here we go. I find myself always wondering about my "Premium detail". Im not sure where I should end the work. Im afriad that if I dont do EVERYTHING that I could, that im not doing enough. Does anyone have some things that they exclude from their...

    What would you do?

Allright I have my sister's car here, and she wants me to detail it for her. I have not had a chance to start, its over 100 degrees outside, and it stays above 80 degrees here 24 hours a day. The car is pretty bad. Paint flaking off in places, infact, some places there is no paint at all. The...

    Lusso Car Care lineup

http://www.lusso.com My parents picked up a small kit from this company when they were running a kiosk at the 50th Corvette Anniversary in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Zaino argument

What would you guys say to this? You feel that a carnuba/silicone based product will top Zaino? You detail for a living and still feel this way?? Plain and simple....Zaino is a clear coat POLISH. When you do your car..your never touching the paint but just the clearcoat. Zaino is non abrasive...

    Lazy People

So I am out at the local crusing strip, hanging out with my Mustang club friends. One of the girls mentions that her car is looking pretty bad, and of course, asks me (im the only one in the club obessed with detailing) to take a look. Apparently a cat got on the car and had a fight with...
