What would you use to scrub the stiching(on a leather seat)? Would a brush be ok? Can a soft bristeld brush be used on the whole seat? What type of detergent would be best for a heavy cleaning?

Has anyone here been to a Meguiars detailing day? Is this an event worth attending? Reason for asking is they are having a detailing day here in NJ and I wondered if anyone anywhere (on DC) had ever attended?
