    Water pump?

I just had a couple of deionized water tanks installed today and am having some problems with water delivery. As you can see from the photos, the two valve levers allows me to switch between using water straight from the tank, or allowing water from the tank to flow through the filters for the...

    tr6 vs. Daimer 300cs

I'm looking to get a vapor steamer and sort of have my mind set on either one of these. Anyone have any experience with these units and would care to share?

    Mobile detailers- most profitable services?

I am just trying to get an idea on which type of service you fellow mobile guys think or know yields the best profit margin. Would you rather spend a whole day on a detail including the works, or do a few car washes/interior vacuums, maybe some of those cars would include a clay and wax job...

    New air compressor

Just picked this up tonight from Home Depot. Anyone have any experience with this unit? I know Ridgid makes some good vacuums and I hope their compressors are as good as well. I really like the fact that it has a Honda engine and is gas operated. That way I won't have to run my generator and...

Century 400 Senseis vs. Mytee Lite HP60?

How do these two extractors compare to each other? Both are roughly in the same price range, but I'm just wondering which one you think gives better performance and reliability for the money? What makes either one superior or inferior to the other? Thanks.

    Honda generators?

I'm looking to purchase a Honda generator for my mobile business and would like some feedback from anyone who is familiar with these units. How much wattage do you think I should go with? I'll most likely be running only one thing at a time maybe two, such as a buffer and halogen lighting. Any...

What kind of water do you use?

I am just curious as to what type of water everyone uses in their water tanks. Ideally, I would like to use some type of deionized water to reduce or eliminate water spots, but I have no idea how I can get this type of water. Anyone know? Do most of you just use normal tap water?

    Pics of my new trailer

Just picked this up a little over a week ago. My pressure washer and tank came in yesterday so I picked that up as well. I will have to take it back out since I am planning on installing a tile floor. I'll also be installing some slat wall to hang up supplies.

    Looking to buy in bulk?

I'm almost ready to go into full production with my mobile detailing business and could use some suggestions on vendors who sell in bulk quantities. All of my purchases so far have been for my own personal use with the occassional use on other people's cars. I kind of like the idea of sticking...

    Mobile Detailers?

For those of you who are strictly mobile, I am wondering how you go about performing a full detail including exterior wash, clay, swirl/scratch removal, paint protectant, engine cleaning and interior all within 8 hours of a typical work day? I just completed my first official detail under my...

    Need suggestions for a name?

I've been trying to come up with a name for my mobile detailing business, but I can't seem to think of anything that clicks. I am looking for something that sounds somewhat professional and implies detailing services at it's finest. Any suggestions? Also, I don't want to include my name. Any...

    NO TOUCH Seriously Wet

I just saw this product for the first time at Advance auto parts so I decided I'd give it a try. I was initially looking for the original No Touch that foams, but I didn't see any. I am so glad I didn't. The Seriously Wet works so much better! It comes in the same size and type of spray can...

    seperate compartment for generator?

How many of you with an enclosed trailer setup utilitze a seperate compartment with an exterior door for your generator? I just put a deposit down on a 6'x12' gloss black Pace Journey. My brother-in-law strongly suggests that I should equip it with one of these. What do you guys think?

Swirl/scratch removal on single stage paint?

I am currently working on a 1980 Mercedes 450SL that is part of my household. I am pretty sure that the paint is original. I have tried a multitude of different products/pad combos with the rotary and PC. I would say the most aggressive polishes that I have are 3M Perfect It rubbing compound...

    Full time mobile detailers?

How many of you do this as your main or only source of income? Do you find it hard to find customers who are willing to pay for the type of detailing discussed here (full clay, multi-step polish, sealant/wax, full interior, etc.)? Or, do most of your customers just want a basic wash or something...

    What products do you use?

For those of you who do detailing for a living, I'm just wondering how many of you have a whole bunch of products designed for the same purpose (different finishing polishes, sealants, waxes etc.) and how many pretty much stick with one brand? What would you suggest for the detailer just...

    My future detailing rig

I just picked this one up a few weeks ago. I bought it used with 2200 miles. The truck is in excellent condition. I wanted to make it even better though. It didn't even have one rock chip on the front when I took delivery, but now I have a couple small ones already and I haven't even hit the...
