    Testing Optimum polish (pics)

Finally got my Optimum twins. With all the hype about this polish I thought I'd try it. OCP is kinda similar in density to ssr's maybe but a little wetter. Spreads really easy and like everyone says has a long working time. The first panel I did I didn't work it long enough which made it...

Should I buy a propel blue pad?

I have the yellow, orange and green propel pads but was wondering if I really need the blue. I notice on some black paint after using ssr 1 with propel green pad that it's not perfect all the time, leaving micro-marring. I thought it was a question of not the right speed and or pressure, but...

Need help, will this polish out

I came across these pics of our first Jetta which was totaled in an accident my wife had a few years ago :furious: . It was not her fault, an SUV turned left in front of her. Fortunately the Jetta is a safe car as she had only banged her knee under the dash. We had replacement cost insurance...

First time using ssr 3 and loven it

I detailed this 02 300M the other day which was heavily marred and full of scratches. I tried my goto polish (ssr 2.5 ) a couple of times with a cutting pad with little improvement. I recently bought some ssr 3 and thought this is the perfect time to try it. All I can say is wow. This stuff...

    1971 purple Blazer (56k warning)

Today's detail was a 71 blazer with s/s paint and lots of scratches and dog claw marks. It was painted 4 or 5 years ago and has never been touched. The only problem was when I polished some of the areas where the dog claw marks were, the paint lighter tinge  . It's hard to tell from...

I would like to add a glaze to my arsenal. I'm torn between ClearKote Red moose Machine Glaze and WG pre-wax polish enhancer, what do you think? I use WG DGPS as my main sealant so I'm kinda thinking to go with the WG but would like to hear what you think.

    02 blue Vette

Today I detailed a 2002 blue Vette. I picked this one :grinno: and a half an hour later I was home and ready to go. The over all condition was ok but had bad swirls and scratches. This customer was not in a rush and wanted a really good job ( what I don't always do good work? ;) ) so I...

    05 Tahoe with 22's

I detailed this Chev Tahoe the other day, had lots of scratches for an 05. Gott'a love the 22" chrome rims. Even though it's white it was a lot of work to polish out, about 8 hrs. Most of the deeper marks were removed and I think it shined up pretty nice. On to the process and pics...

    2002 Toyota, no clear coat

I started polishing an 02 highlander today and was surprised to find that it's a single stage black paint. I didn't think they still had ssp on Toyota's. It seems to cut very easy so I think I should be careful with the cutting pad. Sorry no pics yet, I'll try to get some tomorrow.

WG sealant over 1Z mp, anyone?

I would like to know if anyone has tried WG sealant over 1Z mp with success. I have both of these but never tried them together. I really like the look of mp with all it's oils and wax but I am a little concerned that a polymer sealant might not bond well over it.:nixweiss
