    WCD Lint-Free Glass Towels...any comments?

I'm putting together an order at WCD, and I saw the lint-free glass towels on the site. Has anyone used these? Any comments are welcome. http://www.winnerscircledetailingproducts.com/CandyPress/scripts/prodView.asp?idProduct=20

    Gotta Love Nattys!

You may recall the blue 2004 Tiburon I detailed a couple weeks ago with AIO/WG. Well I added a coat of Nattys to the equation, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Nattys is so easy to use, and looks great every time! :xyxthumbs

Got tar? Try Meg's Detailer Line APC

I was getting ready to order some Autoglym tar remover, but decided to try my Meg's Detailer Line APC first. I diluted it ~15:1, and used a WalMart MF to apply it and dry the area afterward. How much time does it take to remove the tar/grime on one rocker panel and dry it too? Let's find...

    '04 black Tribute...fixing dealer swirls

My uncle brought me his Tribute that had terrible swirls and holograms in it from dealer prepping. He basically just wanted the swirls removed/minimized, and paint protection as well. So the process ended up as: SSR2.5/yellow via PC on 6 SSR2.5/green via rotary on 2.5 SSR2/green via PC...

Anybody ever detailed a vehicle with color-changing paint?

I saw a Camaro today with color-changing paint (I've always referred to it as "chameleon paint"), which makes it the third vehicle I've seen with this paint. I've yet to see any pictures of a vehicle with color-changing paint on Autopia though. Have there been any pics of this?

Mr Clean Eraser...there's more than one isn't there?

My mom was going to the store while I was detailing my uncle's truck, so I told her to grab a Mr Clean Magic Eraser if she saw them (for overspray removal on the plastic). Well she came home with a box of the "erasers". I wet one and tried it out on the plastic mirror. It very slowly removed the...

VM removes sticker adhesive in a snap!

I had two state parks stickers to remove from the inside of my windshield. I did a search to see what people used for this, and I got a wide variety of products that people recommended. Someone said SSR3, but I thought that might be a little harsh for this job. But VM did it without much effort...

Slow at work, so I S&G'd the car

Here I am at the work site today... I'm not sure why the car turned out so dark. :nixweiss That's a really beautiful park. For anyone that wants to know, it's Potawatomi State Park in Door County, WI. So anyway the day started out pretty slow so I decided that I might as well use some...

products for finished leather not for unfinished leather?

My 1Z Lederpflege says it's made for use on finished leathers. It says it is "not for use on suede or nude leathers". What products can be used on unfinished leather? I may be detailing several classic cars (60s/70s) and I need something that is good on unfinished leathers. Recommendations?

Do you have a favorite sunscreen?

I got my first light sunburn of the year a few days ago when I went kayaking. :( So I was wondering if anyone had a favorite sunscreen? I'd prefer one that isn't real greasy, and doesn't have much of a smell.

Pics reflecting durability of WG Tire Gel

9 days ago, I applied Wolfgang Black Diamond Tire Gel to my neighbor's tires. Today I went back to apply more UPP, so we decided to do a couple other things on the car while we waited to remove the UPP. One of the things we did was to reapply WG gel to the tires. Here's a picture of the...

Finally got a chance to go fishing for a while...

I was in need of a nice day to go fishing for a while...just to relax for a couple hours. I've been working a lot trying to save up money for a Protege. It was a great day on the water. This stream about 15 minutes from me now has a successful naturally reproducing trout population. It was a...

Finally used QEW on a DIRTY car

My thoughts: QEW is still easy to use and cleans well. I ended up changing the 5gal rinse bucket twice, because the water got a bit too brown for my liking. I also had a GritGuard in the bottom of the bucket. Here's what the Max looked like after driving through the rain on a narrow country...

So many uses for plastic polish

We have a solar-powered light outside the side door of our house, and I noticed it was a little hazy. So being an Autopian, I went downstairs and grabbed my box of WalMart MFs, Mothers Plastic Polish, and the plastic polish MF applicator. :) Before: After: Before...
