    BOSS BEST IN SHOW SYSYEM

They were bargain basement products for a long time but a few years ago they must have hired some good talent to wake things up a bit. Their SnS and Ceramic sprays are incredible products, you have to pay...

DIY 8-year Ceramic, full walk around and 72 hour hydrophobics

It's all good Don, I'm just being the devil's advocate, as posted in another thread, I'm really not sure of the true value of coatings. I cringe at the thought of what people pay for them. I enjoy using them myself but if mainly for fun.

Are coatings really worth it, some (more) heretical ramblings....

If figures they did. I really liked the stuff.

I just typed Duragloss one zero five and that's what came up. It wasn't anything long. But after thinking about it I'm going to use TW One and Done on a polishing pad and then do a quick IPA wipe. Follow that with Cerakote Pro.

DIY 8-year Ceramic, full walk around and 72 hour hydrophobics

I'd expect to hear something like that from a purveyor of marginal coating, but not you Don. It don't believe in the force field effect, but I do find I don't need to clay even with a good spray ceramic like TW. I don't get water spots and I get beading for far longer than I did with any...

DIY 8-year Ceramic, full walk around and 72 hour hydrophobics

Just my opinion but if you have to decontaminate your coating, it’s not working in the first place. Freshly polished paint beads really well too, so I’d be skeptical of the process to bring it back, that needs some more scientific testing.

I’d get some TW Ceramic AIO and the matching spray wax. If you find you love detailing, you can go from there.

Lower use Daily Driver-need lsp suggestions

As long as you wash regularly, heck even once a month if you want to push it, and use a spray wax or sealant after each wash your paint will not need anything else. I've followed this method on several cars for 3-5 years. The new stuff is just so good. I get 6 months on turtle wax ceramic on...

Setec, that’s a great perspective. And just like decades ago, dealers were pushing sealants, now it’s coatings. It really makes me sick how much crap the dealers tack onto the price of a car. They do their best to scare people into spending thousands for nothing. Now I’m on the fence with my...

Are coatings really worth it, some (more) heretical ramblings....

So my new car fever hit again like it usually does every spring (and fall). I found myself looking at some used cars and it seems that coatings are making their way to Carfax reports. I know its a small sample, and of course not even close to a controlled environment, but could I tell any of...

Any Interest in Griot`s New G13 Mini Long-Throw Orbital??

That price....ouch. My Mother's power ball works well enough for tight places.

Are you getting used to this new format/software in this forum?

It's like a manual transmission, seems crazy if you don't get it. I can flip through any forum at 3x the speed of a web interface. But I grew up on BBSs and newsgroup, so I'm after the text not fluff.

    Windshield Wiper Maintenance

Some replacements are >$1000. That's worth a Saturday listening to tunes in the garage spinning a polisher.

    Windshield Wiper Maintenance

I've used Ceraglass to get out some extremely bad wiper trails, the kind that were probably caused by missing wiper blades. Bad enough to catch a finger nail. It works really well but it's a very slow process. More than 8 hours into a windshield, but these days with all the safety crap built...

    Which AIO?

I agree and even years ago I was saying why bother with certain AIOs that had days or weeks durability, iirc Speed was the absolute worst. There are a handful that will outlast a good spray sealant. Zaio is still a favorite of mine and while not quite as durable the Duragloss RV AIO is awesome...
