ONR and Claying at the same time

Scottwax, you are a genius. ONR then using clay is such a timesaver. I use hot water for the ONR so I just throw the clay into the water, keeps it nice and pliable, I think it even makes it more tacky.

Wheel polishing - pads/wheels for a die grinder or drill?

I'd like to be able to machine polish my wheels a bit more easily. I have been using a mother's powerball mini, however: -its too big to get into a lot of areas -its only one type of foam, somewhere between cutting and polish -replacement foam pieces...where do you get them? I'd love to...

Stoner Invisible Glass Reach & Clean Tool

I want to preface this review with a little bit of truth. I absolutely HATE cleaning windows inside of the car. To the point that I might only clean my side and rear windows once a year. The windshield gets a bit more attention but only out of neccessity. While poking around in Target, I...

Heavy Chemical cleaner, mild abrasive with No protection?

I'm looking for something with heavy chemical cleaning ability, a mild abrasive that finishes nicely and no lsp or oils that will compromise my LSP. Any suggestions? Basically I'm looking for something that will clean mildly oxidized paint, remove tar/buildup and add a bit of shine. There...

    M66 vs D151

I really like M66, two things I really like are the filling ability and the strong chemical cleaners. Does D151 just use a different abrasive package? I have looked here and on MOL and no one seems to have the definative answer.

    Fake Leather smell?

Anyone else hate the fake leather smell companies put into various interior care products? I have yet to smell any product that smells like real leather, I really find the smell almost headache inducing.

    Meguiars D180 Opinions?

I bought a sample of this stuff from ADS, and I'm a bit disappointed. It goes on easy and smells good, has a bit of darkening effect, but... it looks like Armor All. Glossy, almost greasy and doesn't do much for the leather. Has anyone else given this a try?

    Megs #83

I tried using #83 today for the first time in about a year. After using the 105/205 combo, its sooo underpowered. Man, what was great before sure seems wimpy now. It has no bite compared to 105 and finishes out much worse! Made me realize how much I like the new polishes.

    Detail in a day???

Can a true detail be done in a day? I keep seeing more and more threads where the pros are taking over a day to just polish paint. I know I can't do it all in one day, even on a pretty clean car. If you were doing what you considered an ideal job, how long would your average detail take?

    Products that revolutionized detailing?

What are some products you feel revolutionized the detailing industry? For me: ClayMagic - It brought back that new feeling to paint without having to use a strong chemical cleaner. Microfiber towels - much less marring than with "terry" Zaino Z2 - quite a few sealants existed before...

    Optiseal AFTER Poliseal???

I tried putting putting on a layer of Optiseal over Poliseal and it just didn't work out. I let the Poliseal sit for 12+ hours. When I tried to put the Optiseal on, the paint is just too slick, it doesn't even feel like any of the Optiseal is coming off the pad. If I add more, I get streaks...

Eagle One Keep Clean Wheel Review

After looking around for the Michelin brake dust repellant spray and coming up empty, I decided to try the Eagle One keep Clean Wheel. I grabbed it from Advance but Autozone also sells it. The thing that first stood out was how light the spray bottle is. It feels like its half full compared...

    Time to hibernate those chemicals

Depending on where you are, it's almost time to move those chemicals/waxes/etc indoors if you keep them in a garage. Just a friendly reminder.

Taking trading to the next level... A trading kit?

So with money being tight for most everyone these days, what do you guys think of taking trading to the next level? Currently swaps are pretty casual, a product put in some travel sized bottle and hope for the best. I think it would be great if we could: - Have a standardized bottle sizes...

Something a bit different: My first try at PDR

I've pushed out a few dents here and there with moderate luck, so I figured what would be better than blowing some money on a basic PDR set from ebay. My father had a garage whoopsie. The paint had some pretty bad marring as well as a fist sized dent. Knowing the panel needed a repaint...
