Are the cleaners in RMG strong enough to remove/strip my LSP if I'm applying it by hand with a foam applicator pad?

    cure times for carnaubas

I've been reading how some people will wait 24 hours before adding another layer of wax on their vehicle. I thought waxes don't cross-link like polymers, therefore one wouldn't have to wait because they don't need to cure. I'm a little confused here.

    do carnaubas cure?

Do waxes cure like polymers? It's been my understanding they don't cure, but only dry. However, I want to make sure on this. If I want to put 2 layers of wax on should I wait?

talked to mobile detailer who uses grout sponges

There was a thread about a year ago that I read and made copies of regarding two mobile detailers who use grout sponges. The website was showcargarage, which no longer exists I believe. One of these people is named David at innovativedetailing.com. David has detailed Barry Meguiar's vehicles...

    which has more bite

It's been my understanding that the following would be rated from least aggressive/least amount of bite to more aggressive/more bite for applying polish or wax. Am I correct? 1. foam applicator pad 2. microfiber applicator pad 3. cotton towel

    acid rain?

It's been about 4 weeks since my hood and fender on the bonneville was repainted by a body shop. Yesterday after I washed the car I noticed these water spots on the hood. These look like dried water spots that are etched into the clear. They don't come off with a normal wash, and they don't...

calling all past & present Vroom sheepskin wash mitt users

First and foremost, this thread is not intended to bash this product, but rather to talk about something that I know at least 2 people on this site including myself have experienced with this mitt. I'm curious to know exactly how many people have experienced little seed like things buried...

prep your pads with water or qd?

When using a wax or sealant, do people mist their applicator pads with water or a qd to prime the pads sort of speak? I often find when first starting out with a clean pad I usually need to use more product to make it spread easier. Once I do a panel or two it's gets better.

hot or cold water for removing stains

What water temp do people use when cleaning stains on carpets, fabric, or even your household laundry? I've heard, not from this site, that hot will clean the best, but others say that hot will set the stain and to use cold. Any thoughts?

Which do you all prefer for applying a wax or sealant by hand? I would think a microfiber applicator would be just a tad more aggressive?

megs sheepskin wash mitt at target

Forgive me if this mitt has already been reviewed, but I didn't see anything in the files. Please provide a link if this has already been talked about. Has anyone used this, and if so how do these fair against eurrow, viking and turtle wax mitts? I was so tempted to buy it, but I noticed...

S&W just as good for glass as IG & eagle 1?

I've been reading about cleaning glass and it seems that IG and eagle one 20/20 get good reviews. Having neither product, I was wondering how would these products stack up against S&W for glass cleaning? My initial thoughts would be that IG and eagle one would evaporate quicker as they contain...

    opinions please

I was talking to someone who works at a body shop and they told me that waxing a vehicle doesn't protect the paint, the clearcoat does. What is everyone's take on this? Wax does help protect the paint by adding a protective barrier. It helps against UV fading, bugs/bird droppings, or road...

    QS repels dust?

I'm a new user of quickshine and I've used it only twice so far on my paint. Is it just in my head or does this product seem to help repel the amount of dust on a vehicle? Either there has been less dust flying around or the QS is doing something because my vehicle seems to have less dust than...
