So.... Terry Bradshaw is my cousin

Well, technically he's my third cousin. Pearl and George Bradshaw had 10 kids. One of those 10 kids were Lorene Bradshaw, and another one was Harold Bradshaw. Harold Bradshaw married Daisy. Daisy gave birth to Terry Bradshaw. Lorene Bradshaw (look at the second sentence) married Willie...

    Does this stuff scratch paint?

When waxing, if you accidentally go over black trim, your applicator turns a little bit black. Does the black stuff on your applicator harm your paint?

    Is it possible?

Is it possible to use a self serve car wash to wash a car before waxing, and not cause any scratches or swirls? I washed my car yesterday and want to wax it tonight, but it is dark out right now so I can't wash it at my house.

    Beware of Armor-All cleaning wipes!

I thought the Armor-All cleaning wipes were awesome. They worked as good as a Mr. Clean magic eraser, but couldn't hurt your interior. I mean, they were made for a car, right? Well, Apparently if you use them too "roughly", they will take a nice layer of leather off of your shift knob. The flash...

"Friends that don't respect your car" Rant

So I just got back from a little get together with a few friends. Most of my friends know to not mess with my car, but a few of them either don't know or don't care. As I was walking to my car and my other friends were walking to their cars, one friend decides to jump up on my hood. Not on his...

    3M Ultrafina, on a scale of 1-10

Regarding the amount of polishing it does, with 0.5 being Autoglym SRP and 10 being a heavy compound, where would Ultrafina be on this scale?

Has anyone used Acura's "Spray cleaner and Polish?"

I bought this today at the stealership because it was only $5: It has some chemicals in it that sound pretty harsh; nothing I would want to use on my paint. The Ingredients listed are: Petrolium Distillates; Isopropanol; 1,1- Difluroethane; Propane; and Isobutane. The can says it contains...

Wasn't sure where to put this: Dirty Acura Legend photoshoot

I guess it's not really a photoshoot since I have no photography skills and 3/4 of my pictures came out blurry, but I took some pictures of my hasn't-been-washed-in-2-weeks Legend. Here they are: Criused over to my now-closed elementary school...

I forgot to rinse my car before washing it.

After I finish washing my hood, I thought "hmmm, something doesn't seem right..." Them I realized, "ohmygosh! I forgot to rinse my car off!" Luckily, my car never gets dirty, just dusty, so there is no visible marring. I'm assuming doing this multiple times can't be good. Do you guys ever...

Are these products safe to use on seat belts?

I know soap and water can be used on seat belts without degrading them, but what else can? Would these hurt: 1)Woolite 10:1 2)Simple Green 3)Folex 4)heavy duty dish soap Anything else you can think of?

My 303 Aerospace is shinier than Armor-All

I use 303 on my dashboard, and Armor-All on doors. For some strange reason, my 303 Aerospace protectant is suddenly a lot shinier than my Armor-All, and it wasn't the last time I used it. These are the same bottles I have had for a few months. Any idea what is going on?

Your favorite way to clean sand out of carpet

The floor mats and carpet in my car are due for a cleaning, and after vacuuming the sand (from the beach) out of the mats, I can see tons of sand fly out of the mats when I shake them. What can I do with a shop-vac, brushes, folex, and other carpet cleaners to clean this sand out?

    Maximum RPM on edges

Lets say I'm planning on polishing my Canterbury Green Acura Legend (soft paint). What would the maximum RPM be that I can use on the edges before burning them? The highest I have gone is 900 RPM, but could I do higher?

    My Garage Queen

Some of you have seen my minty 220,000 mile Acura Legend. Here is my Garage Queen, a 2000 Chevy Tahoe with only 64,000 miles. The funny thing is, it has more rattles than my Legend. Legend in Tahoe's reflection Legend & Tahoe together in the garage

    Properly closing trunk, roods, etc.?

How do you personally close your doors and trunk? How do you tell your mechanic how to close your hood without marring it? Or am I worrying/obsessing too much? Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'll move it if it is.

Crap... my church is having a Car Wash tomorrow

For 5 hours, I get to use the same sponge, the same dirty water/soap, the same sham-wows on 150+ cars. Last year we had Corvettes, BMW's, Mercedes, Lexii, etc. How am I going to do this?! And how will I nicely tell them there is no way they are washing my car after I went through 15 hours of...

How soft is black Honda paint?

I went to Pep Boys today to get some Autoglym SRP, and next to me was a black Honda Civic. It was probably 4-5 years old. No joke, it has zero shine or depth left in the paint from all of the swirls. And these weren't your typical swirls, it looked like the owner regularly washed the car with...

Turns out it was a gem in disguise...

My Acura Legend's paint and finish was neglected for 15 years, 220,000 miles. I'm coming up on my "Wow-I-actually-care-about-how-my-car-looks-iversary" in August, so I decided that I am annoyed with my car's finish. Here is the paint before: hood: roof: After...

1995 220,000 mile Acura Legend... straight from the showroom

My Canterbury green Acura Legend may have 220,000 miles and be 16 years old (bought in 1994), but it has aged well. Unfortunately, the sun ruined some of my pictures.
