  • Good Day All,

Got a question or maybe lots of questions.

I have a 95 911 Porsche that I have stripped down and repainted, stem to stern, wet=sanded with 3m Trizact 1500 and 3000.

When I finally commit to a polish there are no swirls or sand scratches, only a partial flat polished look.

Now into polishing using the following:
Ist step: Meguiars 105 with a 3M wool pad: gives a fantastic "shine" with good depth.
2nd step: Meguiars 205 with a "black" foam pad, "shine seems to be a little less when done, even with a hand wipe w microfiber.
3rd step: Menzerna 85 Rd with a soft gold foam pad
4th 3M Final gaze, by hand.

So whats my issue, when I look at parts of the car that are only done on step 1 and compare them to what is finished, the finish looks a little less "sharp or bright" as what is done with just the 105.

Am I loosing something or what?

    Mike
