    Loosing the passion

It seems as of late that I have been loosing my passion for detailing. All of the work I have been doing has been on mundane cars, 100+ degree heat (and im a big guy, so this is a killer), but nothing that really grabs my intrest. Im not the type that can do a simple repetitive job, I have to...

    Meguiars #16

On average, how long would you say this paste wax lasts on paint given normal wear and tear?

Not all paint is as it seems

1/3 of the hood was done. The picture does not even begin to do justice. My tin of of Natty's. SSR2 SSR1 EX 2 x Natty's All by hand. There are actually spots in the upper right hand corner of the side I detailed that are white and bubbling beneath the clear...failure is very near...

    Limit of a customer's understanding.

I have been running into a constant problem lately. I have been offering my services to people, and by all means they are impressed with my previous work, and my recommendations from other clients are downright stellar. However, these same clients are also noticing work by other people. In order...

    Oddity while claying

Well I was out cleaning up my Mustang today (it had been probably 4 months since I had time to wash it) and decided to go through my full regiment. Well after using tar remover on the entire car and then washing it, I started claying. However, while I was claying, I started to find sections...

    For Parents with College Students

I know some of you out there currently have students in college or will be sending students this coming year academic year. Well I thought some of you might be intrested in hearing about the student loan I got. Basically I loaned $20k at 3.92% fixed APR with $600 in origination. They originally...

    Door jambs

I know this comes up from time to time, but I simply would like new input. My current method for door jambs is to take a chenille washpad and wash them out at the end of my wash stage, same with the trunk hinge area and the engine hinge area. My question is how do the rest of you go about...

    New use for Poorboy's Degreaser/Cleaner

Well I had an 03 Cobra to detail the other day, and the underside of the hood with the odd material that covers it was extremely dirty. The car was getting a minor prep for a very non-professional car show, so this had to go. So after spraying down the material, I sprayed on the Poorboy's...

    First tip received!

Well I had a girl that wanted her 03 Cobra washed, the engine bay detailed, and the inside vacuumed. She didnt want anything else done to it at all. So of course I did all of that, broke the sprayer on my bottle of Trim Shine thank goodness I had areosal cans standing by (I felt real geeky...

A friend who asked questions (Pics)

Well I had a friend who kept asking questions all the time about different methods by which to do various detialing things (minor mostly) and then stopped asking questions for a long time. I wondered if he had given up detialing, or what. However, was I ever wrong, the pictures speak for themselves.

Check out the depth of this baby!

I found this at this website (http://www.web-cars.com/detail/polish.php) when I was just generally messing around and reading stuff. Good lord is that clear or what!

    Uber garaged car

Allright, some of you might remember me posting about a '72 Corvette Stingray that I am going to detail. If you remember, I said the entire car was covered in that 3M clear plastic protectant stuff. Well, it turns out only some of the car is (parts of the front half). So here is the deal. This...

    Painkillers

You know, Poorboy's Natural Look smells extremely good on a normal day. However, when you are on percocet, it has a distinct affect on my mind when I smell it...very strange. I have an ear infection, im on augmentin, percocet, and cipro. I am kinda out of it.
