What do you reach for when yoru compound just ins;t quite gettting you where you need, of course w/o wet sanding, but to add a little more bite? Spritz of water?

Was at Target today dn they had what I asuume is ther eown bran dof microfibers. 12 packs cheap. Th eones that struck me were 12 for $10, orange. Thing is they seemed really heavy and plush, now there other ones were standard cheaper made. Anyone know about them? Should a bought them but didn;t.
