The crew working on my car broke the fuel gauge pointer. Can the pointer itself be replaced or does the entire gauge need to be replaced, and am I expected to pay for the parts or labor? Thank you.

Every year or two I have to replace the block off plug for the heater hose. Made of hard rubber it cracks and splits and the anti freeze sprays out. Is there a permanent block off plug of a different material that I can buy?

When I crank a cold engine it does not start and I hear a few clicking sounds. It takes another attempt or two before the engine starts. On occasion a warm engine needs a second crank. What is the cause? I drive a 1984 Chevy Caprice Classic.
